In June 2009, the Federal Government has signed into law new regulations requiring the Electronic Stability Program (ESC) to be fitted to all new passenger vehicles from November 2011 and all models from November 2013 onwards, that are sold in Australia and have a gross total weight of up to 3.5 tons.
